PER-HKT

We left PER on a B738 heading for HKT pretty much on time which was great. Due to runway works in PER a fuel stop in PHE was required, giving us two landings for the price of one - LOL! It is a long enough flight without the fuel stop, but the fuel stop took this journey to the edge of what is bearable in a 737!

Arrival into HKT was easy and after clearing immigration made my way to the hotel to freshen up and explore a little of Phuket. The welcome and hospitality was just amazing. It was very hot and humid, so some air con was the order of the day.

The next two days were to spent meeting people and exploring Phuket Airport. Photos were easy on the ramp and some nice shots were obtained. A few will be posted to my web site at www.thewoodrows.org

A lot of Russian flights here, with up to 5 Transaero/day!

The flight back to BNE was a lot better on one of V Aus 777s, VH-VPD. This was a bit more comfortable then the flight from PER. First class entertainment via the inflight system and good meals. I say good, as I have had better on V than I got out of HKT.

Anyway arrive back in BNE after an eight our flight early on Friday morning at arond 0620 and was home by 0710 - so very quick indeed!

The Isle of Man registered Falcon 900 M-SAIR has just arrive in PER. It is good to visit here, as they get a few different types on scheduled service from what we normally see through in BNE, inclusing a Thai A333, Garuda B738.

Here is the 1st part of a trip, I have been looking forward too for a while. The flight over from BNE was on an old 737 with no Live 2 Air - so was a little disappointed in that. Just as well I had my lap top and DVDs with me, to pass the time. We left about 20mins late due to waiting on fuel, but arrived in PER fairly close to on time.

Spending the night here, and then off to Phuket for about three days. This will be my first time in Phuket, a long flight from PER, but looking forward to getting there.

Here's hoping for a good night's sleep tonight.

CFS- BNK

Not a lot to see in BNK - although a couple of locally assembled light aircraft were buzzing around.

The drive down to CFS was uneventful and nothing worthy of mention was noted in CFS. Have now arrived in BNK and will check out the airport tomorrow.

CFS and BNK

My next journey is scheduled to take place this coming Wednesday 3rd Feb. I will drive down to CFS, then back up to BNK arriving back in BNE on Friday 5th Feb. I dare say I will pop into OOL on the way. Both CFS and BNK can throw up some surprises, so here's hoping for a surprise or two, especially as this will be my last trip down for a while - More exciting things to come!!!!

Melbourne and Mildura

Visited Mildura nd Melbourne today. Not much to report, although I did see the Sky Airworld E170 is now in MEL instead of Brisbane. Currently sitting outside JHS.
